Hut site in Bunnamohaun

Situated on a level patch of commonage at the foot of the steep W slopes of Knockmore: it lies on the southern bank of the small stream that descends from Prawke. A second hut (MA084-002001-) lies 8m to WSW. The site consists of the faint grassy foundations of a small oval hut (E–W 3.1m, N–S >2.7m). It is defined throughout by a very low bank (H 0.3m max., externally) partially eroded by the stream along its N side. An old sod line (T 0.15m) is visible in the exposed stream bank at this point, its top 0.1–0.25m below the present ground surface. A slight gap (Wth c. 0.6m) at SSE possibly marks the entrance.
