Bullaun stone in Myshall, County Carlow, is a granite boulder with two basins inside a graveyard, not a hidden chamber or invented temple. People may have poured water, washed hands or marked prayer there, while the dead remained close beside the stone. The two hollows still suggest repeated human attention, even when the names and dates have disappeared.

Likely dating to the early Christian period, the bullaun stone was traditionally used for ritual purification or as a holy water font in a monastic or ecclesiastical setting.
