Lissanard is a high fairy fort in County Meath, Ireland. Its earthen bank and outer fosse enclose a grassy circle wide enough for a dozen people to walk beside one another. The southeast entrance leads across a low causeway into a space where rock outcrop still shows through the soil. Another rath sits immediately to the west, as if the plateau kept two chambers for memory.

Located on a rise at the SW edge of an undulating plateau. This rath is described as ‘Lissanard’ – the high lios – in gothic lettering on the OS 6-inch maps. It is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 45.4m E-W; 42.8m N-S) with some rock outcrop defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 10m; int. H 1m; ext. H 3m) with some trees and outer fosse (Wth of top 4.5m; Wth of base 2.8m; D c. 0.5m). The entrance (Wth of base 2.2m) and causeway (Wth of top 4m; H 0.8m) are at SE.
