Dallán is a subrectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, rising 1.3 metres on a gentle ESE-facing slope with a commanding view to E and SSE. It resisted mapping on 1842 and 1905 OS 6-inch charts, suggesting human hands valued the exact spot long before surveyors arrived. The stone may have marked a boundary, guided travellers or witnessed seasonal rituals, while pasture and silence preserved its shape.
