Enclosure in Bracklon — Report the wrong picture

Bracklon holds a forgotten circular enclosure, now reduced to a shallow depression in undulating pasture. LIDAR revealed its twenty-seven-metre outline in 2013, proving the site still resists complete erasure. Two other ancient markers sit nearby, suggesting a crowded landscape of human presence rather than a single isolated curiosity. The flat ground does not empty the place; it waits for someone to imagine what lived there before forgetting took the shape.

In undulating pasture with good views in all directions. This possible enclosure was discovered in 2013 during the course of a review of LIDAR data where it is visible as a low circular bank-like feature (diam. c. 27m) (pers. comm. Dr Steve Davis, UCD). The monument has been levelled but the outline of a shallow circular depression marks its site. No other features are visible. A ringfort (LF015-047----) and an enclosure (LF015-093----) lie c. 90m to the WNW and SSE respectively. The attached LIDAR image is uploaded courtesy of Dr Steve Davis.
