Four boulder burials stand in pasture atop a terrace near the south foot of Maulin mountain, overlooking Bear Haven. Three form an equilateral triangle two metres apart while the fourth lies twenty metres southwest, incorporated into a field fence. Massive cover-stones rest on visible support stones, creating chambers that may have held the dead or marked territory for people who watched the harbour below.

Boulder-burial in Derrymihin West is a Bronze Age funerary monument, likely a simple cist or burial cairn constructed with large stones. Its location and arrangement suggest ritual significance, possibly linked to early pastoral or territorial markers in the landscape.
