Enclosure in Borrismore

Enclosure

What is recorded here

Set on crest of broad ridge/terrace running along foothills of high land to N and above plain to the E and S, in tillage. Identified as a circular cropmark (diam. c. 35m) on an aerial photograph (CUCAP BDL035, 15 July 1970). It appears to be partially overlain by a smaller enclosure (KK012-011001-) immediately to the W. A linear field boundary (KK012-011003-), also visible as a cropmark, runs E-W through the N quadrant of both enclosures. Neither enclosure is visible at ground level. See attached photograph: KK012-011001-_01 CUCAP BDL035, 15 July 1970 Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 15 May 2019
