What is recorded here
Grave Yd. is an unenclosed graveyard in County Kildare where grass-covered church foundations and a fifteenth-century octagonal font still mark the nave. The stones lie scattered rather than buried, as if the building withdrew instead of falling. People may have walked this rise for centuries, naming it only after the death it contained.
The grass-covered foundations of a church (KD038-001----) stand on a slight rise in an unenclosed graveyard. Fragments of an octagonal, moulded font and octagonal base (KD038-001002-), probably of fifteenth century date, lie in the nave.
