Coffin-resting stone in Baslick is a coffin-resting stone in Baslick, County Roscommon, Ireland. It is a flat headstone for Michael Balfe dated 1777, measuring 2.2m x 1.1m and 0.2m thick. The stone sits on a bluff above a north-south stream, just outside the graveyard beside the western gate where coffins were traditionally laid.
On a bluff overlooking a N-S stream to the E and S. The single flat headstone (dims 2.2m x 1.1m; T 0.2m) of a Michael Balfe dated 1777 where coffins were traditionally laid is just outside the graveyard (RO021-083002-) beside the gate at W. (Gormley 1989a, 107)
