What is recorded here

On gently sloping land to W of, and overlooking, the River Corrib on NW outskirts of Galway city. An overgrown steep-sided circular mound of earth and stone (D 19.55m, H 2.78m). The top is flat and traces of a shallow fosse (Wth c. 3m) encircle its base. A Bronze Age barrow; its location overlooking the River Corrib suggests it may have had ritual or strategic significance in the prehistoric landscape of west Galway.
