In reclaimed pasture, 45m E of townland boundary with Tankardstown, a possible ditch-barrow (LI040-055003-) lies 170m to the SW. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Possible ring-barrow listed by Grogan (1989, Vol. 2, 210) as ‘Ballincolloo 1'. No surface remains visible. See attached Google Earth orthoimages. A possible ditch-barrow or ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age; its significance lies in its potential contribution to understanding burial practices and landscape use in the region during that period.
