In improved, wet, pasture immediately W of a watercourse. Cairn (LI049-213----) lies 135m to SW and possible barrow (LI049-215----) 115m to NW. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Possible barrow listed as ‘Ballyfroota 3’ by Grogan (1989, 215). Possible outline of ditch-barrow visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018. See attached Google Earth orthoimage. A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its association with nearby cairns suggests it is part of a broader funerary and ritual landscape.
