What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort on a gentle Galway slope, mostly erased except for a broken earth bank at the northeast. Blackthorn still owns the rest, hiding whatever the fort once held or refused to release.

On a gentle E-facing slope. Roughly circular ringfort (D c. 40m) defined by a degraded bank of earth and stone which is visible only at NE. Elsewhere the monument is obscured by dense blackthorn growth. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
