Ballyvouskill holds a subrectangular standing stone, 1.2 metres tall and 0.7 by 0.5 metres across, aligned east-northeast to west-southwest in level pasture. It may have marked a boundary, a meeting place or a memory for people who no longer leave named traces behind. The stone still stands where the land is flat and open, inviting imagination rather than certainty.
