What is recorded here

Ballyvicmaha is a lost circular enclosure in County Mayo, reduced to a faint outline barely visible in pasture. It stood on a ridge overlooking sharply undulating terrain, large enough for a rath but small enough to disappear under modern ploughing. The land remembers shape even when people stop seeing it.
In pasture, located on a ridge with a fall of ground to NE, with good views, especially to N–NE, over sharply undulating terrain. This possible rath is shown on the 1922 OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30-35m). It has been levelled. The outline of a circular area (diam. c. 20-25m) is barely discernible.
