What is recorded here

Ballytibbot stands two metres tall above a northern stream, its rectangular stone tilted slightly across the hill pasture. It has watched the water move and the grass grow for longer than memory reaches. People may have gathered there to mark season, loss or love, though no name remains behind the stone. What is certain is that it still points downward into the valley, steady as a promise kept.
