Trinity Well in County Limerick throws cold water through a rock gap, still wearing rough stone slabs like a forgotten collar. Crowds once surged there before Trinity Sunday, their footsteps shaking the ground while smaller numbers still kneel at its edge. The well does not need belief to flow, yet it seems to wait for the kindness of being witnessed.

Ó Danachair (1955, 210) recorded the following details about Trinity Well; ‘A strong spring issuing from the rock, roughly covered with slabs of stone.
