What is recorded here
Ballyloo hides a burial ground beneath its ordinary soil, remembered only through local tradition rather than stone or marker. People may have laid their dead there before written history arrived, trusting the earth to keep what witness had forgotten. The absence of proof does not empty the place; it redirects certainty into imagination, forcing us to picture the lives that ended there and the hands that buried them.
