Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballykenny

Fairy fort in Ballykenny, County Limerick: a 30m earthen ring with a shallow outside ditch, half of its boundary still standing in open pasture. The flat middle feels made for standing room, firelight or argument, while the small neat hole in the north-east quadrant suggests a jar, a post or a forgotten offering. Cattle may have walked it for centuries, yet the circle still reads as a choice rather than a mistake.
