What is recorded here

Ring-ditch in Ballyhays is a ghostly double circle hidden beneath Kildare soil, visible only when crops grow unevenly above its old fosses. It sits beside another curvilinear enclosure, suggesting a settled landscape rather than a lonely marker, though time has blurred the exact relationship between them. The land may have held homes, rituals or boundaries, but the plough has erased the edges that would have told us which.

Aerial photograph (GB89.AF.11) shows the cropmark of a ring-ditch defined by two concentric fosses; located in close proximity to a curvilinear enclosure (KD014-058----) defined by a fosse.
