Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Ballygilgan is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Ballygilgan, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a slight southeast-facing slope in gently undulating pasture, sixty metres northwest of a second cashel. The structure contains a slightly raised circular area twenty-one metres across, enclosed by a rubble limestone bank four point six metres wide and zero point five metres high internally. Limestone slabs laid on edge survive at the southeast base, while a two-metre break at the south-southeast marks the original entrance.

Situated on a slight SE-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. A second cashel (SL008-016---) is located 60m to the SE. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 21m) enclosed by a bank of rubble limestone (Wth 4.6m; int. H 0.5m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. Internal revetting survives at SE in the form of limestone slabs laid on edge at the base of the bank. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at SSE, lined on either side by a limestone slabs and now blocked with rubble, marks the position of the original entrance. Compiled by: Patrick F.
