Fairy fort in Ballydaw, County Kilkenny: an earthen ringfort, a rath, still standing where human hands shaped the land. Local people may have lived inside its bank, raised children, lost lovers, or simply passed it without naming it twice. The fairies enter later, as they do everywhere humans stop explaining. They are not the owners. They are the silence that moved in after the witnesses died.
