Structure

Three widely dispersed (Wth 3.33m; D 0.21m) pieces of brushwood and a roundwood in the drain face. The wood is in poor condition and possibly displaced as a result of milling. The larger pieces are of oak, while the light brushwood is of willow and alder. The wood sits in well-humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
