Structure

A piece of birch brushwood (L 0.25m; diam. 0.035m) in the drain face. One end was worked to a chisel point and lay in moderately humified woody, Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
