What is recorded here

The site (Wth 1.86m min.; D 0.35m) consists of a predominantly light brushwood and twig structure orientated NW-SE in the drain face. The site extends beyond the limits of examination at its NW end. The wood is orientated irregularly and is up to six pieces deep at the SE end of the site. Towards the N end, the elements are more compactly arranged. Metal-cut worked ends are noted. Wood species include willow, oak and hazel, and leaves, possibly of bog myrtle, were also recorded amongst the twigs. The site is located in well-humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat.
