ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage (O.S. memoir site: unlocated) in Ballyclogh; Flower Hill

ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage (O.S. memoir site: unlocated)

What is recorded here

Flower Hill in Ballyclogh may have worn a rath or hidden an underground passage, yet no marker remains to prove either claim. The land could have swallowed wheels, carts or footsteps long before anyone wrote them down. What is certain is only that the hill exists and memory has failed to keep the shape of what it once held.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage (O.S. memoir site: unlocated). Recorded period: E.CHRIST.; UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
