Barrow in County Limerick sits beside the Morningstar River near Athneasy Church, where a possible burial mound still lies twenty-five metres north. The earth may hold old bones, forgotten names or only chamber stones buried under pasture. A church and graveyard stand nearby, suggesting people have long believed this ground worthy of prayer and remembrance.
In reclaimed pasture, 45m NW of Morningstar River that forms the townland boundary with Knocktoran. Possible barrow (LI040-283----) lies 25m to N, Athneasy Church (LI040-104001-) and graveyard (LI040-104002-) 145m to NW. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Possible barrow identified during examination of Google Earth orthoimage dated 05/04/2006. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019.
