Fairy fort in Ballinoroher, County Cork, is a circular earthwork with a low bank and slight scarp on a south-facing slope. It is the kind of place people once called a fairy fort because it looked like a hidden doorway rather than an ordinary field marker. A person walking past may have felt the grass tighten or heard a voice answering back before turning home.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular area (40m N-S; 41.6m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.15m) E->N; slight scarp (H 0.5m) N->E.
