The moated site in Ballinhalla is in County Tipperary, Ireland. The saved inventory described a partly levelled square area measuring 30.8 metres north to south and 29.2 metres east to west, with a 0.2-metre scarp and a flat fosse 5.7 metres wide and 0.55 metres deep. A 1958 inspection recorded scrub overgrowth and an apparent inner bank about 1.2 metres wide and at least 1 metre above the fosse. The inventory also recorded no visible trace of the castle formerly inside.

On flat ground in gently undulating terrain. Somewhat levelled enclosure, consisting of a raised roughly square area (dims. 30.8m N-S; 29.2m E-W) enclosed by a scarp (H 0.2m) and wide, flat fosse (W 5.7m; D 0.55m). This moated site was inspected in 1958 when it was overgrown with scrub, it appeared to have an inner bank c. 1.2m wide and at least 1m above the fosse (OPW Correspondence).
