Situated on a slightly elevated rise in level pasture. A square-shaped area (55m E-W; 63m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) with wide flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 3m; D 1.5m) and causewayed entrance (Wth 3m) at E. Second outer bank visible at E only, probably the result of road-building to E of site. At N the road destroys the enclosing external fosse. Cultivation ridges extend across W end of site. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
