What is recorded here
Clearance and memory share one small circle. The main oval belongs to people who measured water, grass and sky before maps existed, while the tiny inner heap may have marked a cut edge, a rejected stone or a remembered angle. Together they suggest a place where making and remembering happened at once.
On an E-facing slope. Gannon (1972) mentions a cairn which is a small clearance or spoil cairn (diam. 2m; H 0.15m) in the N interior close to where the perimeter of rath (RO035-013001-) has been cut back.
