Ballinderreen Fort is a sixty-one-metre earthen ring in Galway pastureland where field boundaries now cut through its ancient bank. It holds a hidden underground passage in the southwest, suggesting the site served more than simple livestock enclosure. The fort belongs to the fairy realm in local tradition, reminding visitors that ordinary farmland may still contain chambers built for purposes no longer spoken aloud.

In level pastureland. Roughly circular rath (diam. 61m), in fair condition, defined by a bank overlain from NW through N to NE by a field boundary. Another field boundary cuts through the monument at NW and SE. Field-clearance rubble is piled on the bank at S. There is a Man-made underground passage (GA108-008001-) in the SW quadrant of the interior.
