What is recorded here

Indicated is a vanished standing stone in County Cork, Ireland. The 1842 survey marked it on an east-facing slope, but no stone remains visible in the pasture today. It may have fallen, been buried, or simply dissolved into the grass and memory of the field.

Dated to the Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age based on the style of the symbol, it may have had ritual or territorial significance. Local folklore sometimes associates such stones with ancient druids or protective boundaries.
