HMS Curacoa was a British light cruiser lost in 1942 when it was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-559 during the Second World War. The ship sank off the coast of Crete, resulting in the loss of all 829 crew members, with no survivors; its wreck remains one of the deepest shipwrecks in the Mediterranean, notable for its historical and archaeological significance.
