What is recorded here

'This is sub-rectangular hut, measuring 5m east-west by 3.75m north-south internally. The walls are of well constructed limestone slabs, 0.6m in maximum height, and averaging 0.8m thick. A possible 0.9m entrance occurs at west. A small circular internal feature has been constructed against the eastern wall of the hut, but appears to be modern.' The above description was published in F. Coyne, 'Islands in the clouds: an upland archaeological study on Mount Brandon and the Paps, Co. Kerry.' (Kerry Co. Council in association with Aegis Archaeology, 2006). Date of upload: 15 December 2011
