Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Altanelvick is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Altanelvick, County Sligo, Ireland. The slightly raised oval area measures 28m east-west and 26m north-south atop a north-south ridge. A low stone wall 3.7m wide and 0.6m high encloses the site with visible internal and external facing stones. A blocked-up gap at east-southeast probably marks the original entrance, while traces of a man-made underground passage appear adjacent to the wall at south-west.
Situated atop a N-S ridge. Slightly raised oval area (dims. 28m E-W; 26m N-S) enclosed by a low stone wall (Wth. 3.7m; int. H 0.6m) with both internal and external facing stones visible. No fosse. Blocked-up gap at ESE probably marks the original entrance. Adjacent to the wall at SW are traces of a Man-made underground passage (see SL019-128002-). Compiled by: Patrick F.
