Structure

A deposit of split timbers, roundwoods and light brushwood in the peat face of a private bog adjacent to the Bord na Móna bog. The elements were widely spaced along the drain face and there was no discernible structure. This material most likely constituted one or more separate sites. The NGR for this site is an approximation based on preliminary field notes as the site was subsequently destroyed before a more complete record could be attained. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
