Recatangular enclosure

Situated at the E end of a low E-W ridge. This is a raised, rectangular, grass and fern-covered area (dims 47m NW–SE; 46m NE–SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 1.2m; ext H 1.7m) and outer fosse or moat (Wth of top 7m; Wth of base 2.5m; ext. D 1.5m) at the SW side with a NW-SE road beyond it, a scarp at NW (H 0.5m) and NE (H 1.7m) and a field bank at SE. Rath (WX010-028----) is c. 20m to the W, but only survives SW of the road.
