Rayrigg Wyke is a coastal rock feature composed of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340–320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of sedimentary rock layers that provide insight into ancient reef environments and are commonly found in the limestone landscapes of northern England.
