Rathvallygoney Fort is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballinard (Rathlynin parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a low pasture rise as a roughly circular area 39 metres from north-east to south-west and 38 metres from north-west to south-east. A steep scarp 5.6 metres wide and 4.3 metres high marks the remains of a wider bank, while a 3.5 metre entrance opens toward the east-south-east. The grass-covered interior slopes gently toward the south-west and holds an off-centre mound located to the north.
In pasture, on a low rise. A roughly circular area (dims. 39m NE-SW; c. 38m NW-SE) defined by a levelled bank (Wth at top 1.8m; overall Wth 10.65m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 4.3m) which has been reduced to a steep scarp (Wth 5.6m; H 4.3m). There is an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at the ESE. The exterior and top of the scarp are covered in vegetation. The grass-covered interior has a gentle SW-facing slope. The 1840 edition OS 6-inch map depict a wide fosse enclosing the monument with an outer bank. On the 1904 edition the outer bank appears to have been incorporated in a field boundary. All the surrounding field boundaries have been removed, except that abutting the SE quadrant. Both OS 6-inch maps also depict a mound (TS059-060001-) in the interior, off-centre to the N.
