What is recorded here

Located on a broad, low hill. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 31m E-W; 30.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6m at E to 10m at S; int. H 0.6-0.8m; ext. H 1-1.5m). There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth 3m) is at E. The perimeter at W is partially obscured by spoil from a lime-kiln at SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 17 June, 2013
