Rathcahill is a 60-metre fairy fort in Limerick pasture, its earthen bank and fosse still drawing a clear circle under grass. The western causeway crosses the ditch like an invitation, suggesting people once entered deliberately rather than stumbling through. It may have been a home, a boundary marker or a place where the ordinary world thinned.
In level dry pasture. Circular area (diam. 60m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 2.4m) with external fosse (Wth. 3.4m; D 1.35m). Gap in bank (Wth 2.8m) and causeway (Wth 7m) across fosse at W. Interior level and under grass.
