Marian dreamt she was the dead woman and watched herself drown. She woke gasping, certain the chamber was water, then laughed because laughter returned the chamber to a chamber. She stopped resisting the chamber. She stopped telling it what it was. The chamber stopped being a trap. It became a room where she could see her own hands.
