RATH in Timaconway, County Derry, is an early Christian period site where a boundary stone or marker may have stood before the land was forgotten. The official record preserves only the name and a map point, leaving the shape of the place to imagination. Perhaps a family lived beside it, measured their fields from it, or buried a child near it while the world still remembered why the stone mattered.
