RATH in Derrykillultagh

RATH

What is recorded here

Miles away from the main road, a broken ring of stones still marks the ground. The official record calls it a rath in Derrykillultagh, but it is the shape that speaks. A household, a boundary, a childhood field or a forgotten ceremony may have filled that circle before memory collapsed. The stones did not fall as debris. They fell as a completed life stopped repeating.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
