Rath

What is recorded here

Rath in Cloughanmurry is an ancient fortified site in County Antrim, Ireland. The name Rath still belongs to the earth and the shape that made the place worth remembering. A person may have stood at that same centre, watching the land turn under a changing sky. The fort has kept its name while empires, languages and memories came and went around it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Rath. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
