Knockans holds a standing stone, an enclosure and house platforms from the uncertain prehistoric period, marked as scheduled heritage in County Antrim. The stones may have outlined homes, excluded rain or simply watched people pass, while the enclosure suggests repeated return rather than a single dramatic event. Whatever the platforms supported, they remained firm enough for later people to notice, protect and still argue about.
