RATH in Ballygoskin

RATH

What is recorded here

Mortons and Ballygoskin still circle the lost Rath, though no clear ruin remains for them to point at. A field may have worn the fence flat while memory kept the name alive. The absence does not erase the place; it invites people to imagine what the fence enclosed and what it kept from ordinary ownership.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
