The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 1839 'OS 6-inch' map shows S and adjacent portions of W and E sides of rectangular enclosure defined by bank. S side now visible as very low ridge (L c. 50m; H c. 0.1m).
