Rampark Fort stands as a well-preserved earthen ring in Galway grassland, its twin banks and central ditch marking a boundary between human memory and forgotten time. The inner wall wears a face of fitted stone while loose boulders scatter the middle like abandoned thoughts. A narrow gap opens toward the east, inviting entry into a space where fields have swallowed older lives. Nearby trenches once revealed small bones, now lost to soil and silence, reminding us that the fort still holds what people chose not to keep.

In grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (E-W 35m, N-S 33m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is stone-faced internally. There is a well-defined entrance gap (Wth 2.3m) at ESE. A band of field-clearance rubble is piled up against the outer bank from WSW through W to N. A field wall overlies this bank at S. Within the interior are a number of randomly placed limestone boulders. A few fields to N, the landowner discovered a number of 'small human bones' while digging a trench: not located.
